What is fit modeling?
Fit modeling requires no previous modeling or fit modeling experience. No photos, portfolios or fees involved. If you’re the RIGHT SIZE, we may have a job for you!
To ensure the quality of garments in the retail clothing industry, fit models are carefully selected for fittings based on body type, proportion and measurements that best meet the specifications of the required sizes. Good posture, a flexible attitude, a professional manner and patience are also important.
Fitting is a “hands on” business; the model must be comfortable with clothing being handled, pinned, marked or adjusted while fitting. Is your child mature enough (as appropriate for their age category) to handle standing for a long time, with nice posture, and appropriate behavior, comfortable commenting but only when asked for feedback?
**A note to parents who would like their child to fit model:
Remember this is not about having their pictures taken in an ad. Please be certain that fit modeling and all the aspects of it, is something the child wants to do.
