Body Fit Criteria 

  • Fit modeling involves having the “perfect dimensions”, regardless of your size, to test out prototype models of clothing, such as bras, slacks, casual clothes, etc.

What Our Clients Are Looking For

Our clients are looking for correct shoulder placement of the garments on your physique as you turn to show moveability. At times you will be asked to give your opinion on how it feels.

This has proven to be a very profitable career for many of our clients who are not the stereotypical “model” physique.
To ensure the quality of garments in the retail clothing industry, fit models are carefully selected for fittings based on: Body Type/ Proportion / Measurements that best meet the specifications of the required sizes.

What is required

  • Good posture
  • Flexible attitude
  • Professional manner
  • Patience

What is Not Required

  • No modeling experience required
  • No photography taken for advertisements

However, experienced fit models may be preferred.

  What to Expect

Fitting is a “hands on” business.  The model must be comfortable with clothing being handled, pinned, marked or adjusted while fitting.
A note to parents who would like their child to fit model:

Remember this is not about having their pictures taken in an ad.

Please be certain that fit modeling, and all of its aspects, is something the child wants to do.

Is your child mature enough (as appropriate for their age category) to handle standing for a long time, with nice posture, and appropriate behavior, comfortable commenting but only when asked for feedback?

Typical Base Sizes for Fit Models:
                       (Sizes may vary depending on the clients fit requirements)                          

Women – 6, 8, 14 & 20 Height – 5’5”-5’9”

Women’s Bra sizes – 34B, 34 C, 34D, 34DD,  36C & 40D and more

Full Figure Women – 14, 18, 20 Height – 5’5”-5’9”

Men – Suit 40R, waist – 32-  Height- 5’11”-6’0”

Juniors – 3, 5, 7, 9 - Height – 5’5-5’9”

Girls – sizes 6-18, ages 6-14

Boys – sizes 7-18, ages 7-14
